From February 24th to February 28th, the senior class of 2026 left for Orlando, Florida to go on their class trip to Disney World and Universal Studios.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday they all had the opportunity to go to Walt Disney World, and on Thursday and Saturday they had the opportunity to visit Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Epic Universe.
Early in the morning on Tuesday, specifically at 4:00 A.M, is when the class left from school to the Philadelphia Airport where they got on the plane to Orlando. Once in Orlando, the class took a charter bus to the first location, EPCOT Center. EPCOT had a lot to offer, including the tours of the many Countries able to visit. There were sections about Germany, Japan, France, America, and many more. Also in EPCOT there were many rides including the Guardians of the Galaxy, Test Track, and Soarin’ Around the World. Late Tuesday night, there was a fireworks show that welcomed all of the guests, and at around 10:30 P.M, the class took the buses back to the resort.
Other parks and attractions at Disney included Hollywood Studions, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom. Hollywood studios includes the infamous Tower of Terror, along with a mesmerizing Toy Story land, a Star Wars area, a Mickey and Minnie Runaway Railway, and the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, which closed on March 1st, meaning that the 2026 class will be the last class to experience the 27-year old attraction until it reopens as a Muppets Ride in summer 2026.
In Animal Kingdom, there’s the exhilarating Expedition Everest, the incredible Kilimanjaro Safaris, and the Avatar Flight of Passage. Along with the awesome rides and beautiful animals to see, there are also plenty of shops and places for food in the park. In Magic Kingdom, top rides include Tron, Space Mountain, and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Santiago Galvan, a senior who attended the trip, said, “I enjoyed Guardians of the Galaxy, Tron, and Space Mountain the most. It was great having a good time with my friends and enjoying myself.” When I asked him about what his favorite part of the trip was, he replied with, “EPCOT was my favorite because we saw all of the different countries and ate all of the food.”
On Thursday students were able to visit Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, and Universal Epic Universe and on Saturday they got to go to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. Rides that are at these parks include Jurassic Park VelociCoaster and The Incredible Hulk Coaster, both are located in Islands of Adventure.
Giancarlo Gargano, a senior who went on the trip said his favorite ride was Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure in Islands of Adventure, “My favorite roller coaster at Universal had to have been the Harry Potter Hagrid motorcycle one. I liked going through the outside and inside parts, it was violent it was throwing me around. My least favorite part was waiting in a 2 and a half hour long line with no phone! That was not my favorite.”
It was an incredible week for the seniors here at BASH as everyone got the chance to enjoy themselves and have fun with their friends while not having to worry about school. For any upcoming seniors, get excited for this next year, as the Senior class trip is an awesome experience that will create long-lasting memories in the final months of high school.
