Daily Announcements

1.    Attention Class of 2019:  It is VERY important for you to check your school email daily! As graduation approaches, emails are being sent to you that contain vital information.


Also, each student will get eight (8) tickets to attend the commencement ceremony in homeroom on May 23. Some of you have expressed that you will need more tickets for family members to attend. Please sign up for extra tickets in the BASH Main office before May 30. The number of tickets distributed to each student will be based on the number of requests (extra tickets will be distributed equally if there is not enough to provide the requested amount to each student).  The extra tickets will be ready for student pick up in the main office on Friday May 31, 2019.


Your Class song is I Lived by One Republic!!  If you are interested in auditioning to sing the class song at graduation, please come to the chorus room on Tuesday, May 28th, at 2:55 for auditions.  Please email or see Mr. Fries in room 302 by Thursday, May 23rd , to sign up to audition. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Fries.


Today is the Cap and Gown Photo at the B.A.S.H. Bear Gym (a BCTC bus will be held). All seniors will receive their caps and gowns in homeroom and then will report to the New Auditorium at 7:47 A.M. with their belongings. At that time, seniors will quickly dress in caps and gowns for the senior class group photo.  From the Auditorium, you will be directed to the BEAR GYM for your photo.


And finally, Baccalaureate is a tradition associated with graduation dating back to the Middle Ages.  Baccalaureate is a spiritual program, organized by members of the Class of 2019 and B.A.M.A., designed to inspire you as graduates.  All students and their families are invited to attend this program.  The Baccalaureate program will be held on Sunday, June 2nd, at 7:00 p.m. in the senior high new auditorium.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend.


2.    Any athlete that participated in a fall, winter or spring sport that did not turn in their uniform at the end of your season – please bring this to the athletic office in a bag with your name and sport on the outside by Friday, May 24th. Also, the athletic office has been sending out emails to athletes who have an obligation – please check your email.


3.    Attention all girls interested in playing on the girls tennis team next year:  Please see Coach Burkert sometime this week to sign up and get the paper work to play. He is in room 615. Again, any girl interested in playing tennis next year should see Coach Burkert in room 615 sometime this week. Just stop by his room when you can. Thank you.


4.    The ISS room will be open for detention hours from 12:00 – 3:00 on half days.  For safety and security reasons, students are forbidden to leave campus then return to serve their hours. If you are planning to serve, please plan accordingly and pack a lunch if needed. In addition, on testing days that are late arrival, the ISS room will be open beginning at 7:35. This will be a perfect opportunity to get caught up on your detention obligations! REMEMBER SENIORS, your detentions are an obligation. If you have not satisfied this obligation, you will not participate in your graduation ceremony. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Ragusa in room 514.


5.    Seniors:  All detention hours and all obligations must be paid by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2019.  If you do not pay your obligation, your diploma and/or all other graduation material will not be released!  If you are not sure that you have an obligation, please stop by the Main Office and talk to Mrs. Coleman or check your school email address!!!!


Also, Senior Class of 2019 Panoramic Picture day is today.  Order forms were handed out in homeroom. Extras are in the office. If you are purchasing a Class of 2019 panoramic group photo, please complete the order form that you received in homeroom and attach payment and bring with you to the photographer. You can also pay on


6.    The end of the school year is approaching.  Please check the Lost and Found in the Main Office.  Items are discarded or donated every two weeks.  There is also an Invisalign in the office that no one has claimed.


7.    Those going on the Youth Empowerment Day Trip today, please be sure to have your permission slip if you did not turn it in to Ms. Valentine already.  We will meet out front by the bus loop at 9AM.


All students in Gifted Enrichment, please see the google classroom post and email previously sent to sign up for a presentation time on May 30th.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Valentine.  This is a required portion of your enrichment for the year.  Thank you.
