On Friday, May 1st, BASH hosted their Senior prom at the SunnyBrook Ballroom. The theme of this year was Starry Night, and everyone was provided with dinner and got to participate in the many different activities.
The prom started at 6:00 P.M, and every guest was getting ready for the annual Promenade. The Promenade is where the students get to walk down a pathway with their date or with a friend and the whole event is broadcasted on the BASH-TV Youtube channel.
After the promenade was over, everyone sat at their assigned tables. Shortly after an announcement from the Class Officers, a few tables at a time were guided to the food room to grab dinner. After dinner, the floor opened up, and the dancing started. Reagan Vining, one of the seniors who attended Prom, said this about prom: “I enjoyed being with the Boyertown community and dancing with all of my friends.”
While at the Prom, there was a photobooth, where students were able to take pictures with their friends, and there was also a game room, where there were many different fun activities like arcade games and ping pong. Dom Coe, another senior who attended Prom, said his favorite part was, “The game room. That area was super fun, and there were many great games in there like checkers and ping pong.

After the prom was over, there was a raffle in which the students were able to possibly win a basket of prizes. Students were given an envelope of about 10 tickets once they first signed in, and they were able to insert the tickets into any of the many baskets that were provided. Winners received a text message and retrieved their won basket in school. Coe stated that, “The thought of winning a basket was fun, even though I didn’t win any.”
Prom will surely be a night to remember for all of the seniors involved. It will be one of the last events seniors will get to experience with their friends while in high school, and the Prom was a perfect pit stop before graduation!
