Fall activities at BASH

Oranges leaves that symbolize the fall season that brings fall activities

Fall is coming up, which means Boyertown is ready with fall football games, busy sports schedules, and local family activities, including family fridays, town fests, farmer’s markets, and even tractors in the park.

Football games are a must here and are taken very seriously at Boyertown High School. A great way to show your school spirit is showing up to the home Exeter football game coming up September first. Even more important is the school-wide gold out on September 29th, followed by the football game that night. Around this time every year, students and staff wear gold in a show of support for fighting against pediatric cancer.

The Lady Bears Volleyball team hosts a color run this September 24th to fundraise for their team. Anyone may register here. At 9am the 5k begins, and at 9:15 the 1-mile fun run starts. In this activity participants may walk/run with absolutely no time limit. Everyone gets a free shirt with registration, as well as being offered refreshments after their race. Everyone has a chance to win prizes upon participation.

Whether you are someone who enjoys playing sports or watching them, there are plenty to choose from for everyone here at BASH besides just football. Some important upcoming sports dates at BASH are listed as the following: boys golf on their home course vs. Upper Perk on 8/29, girls volleyball home against Wilson on 8/29, girls golf vs. Methacton on their home course on 8/30, girls tennis at home vs. Pottstown on 8/31, field hockey at Wilson on 9/01, girls soccer at home vs. Owen J. on 9/02, boys soccer at home vs. Upper Merion 9/06, and cross-country at home against Spring-ford 9/06. Boyertown is filled with tons of activities for the whole family coming up this fall. Enjoy the Shake and Rattle mystery event at the Ridgewood Winery on Daffodil Hill Farm, Township Line Road, Bechtelsville, PA, USA. This event welcomes the whole family, and allows everyone who attends to dress up in 1950’s costumes. With the purchase of a ticket, one will receive light fare, non-alcoholic beverages, the mystery event, and prizes awarded from the event. This will take place on August 26th from 4-7pm, and be prepared, you don’t know which guests may be playing along.

Family Friday is a wonderful way to bring a family together and show Boyertown pride in none other than downtown Boyertown. Enjoy shopping, dining, and exploring Boyertown with the whole family on Friday September 1st.

If someone was wondering how he or she could help out the local area and enjoy a pleasant Thursday afternoon, the perfect place would be Boyertown’s farmers market. This will take place the first and third Thursdays in September from 4-8pm. People can shop local goods, enjoy live music, and just enjoy a nice Thursday evening.

Tractors in the park are coming up in the Boyertown Community Park on September 9th from 10am to 3pm. People are able to view tractors, see PowerCo equipment rodeo, and watch the pedal tractor competition. This is not only just tractors in the park, but fun activities for the whole family. There will be vendors, food, activities for the kids, raffles, and a petting zoo.

Boyertown’s Fall Frolic is back! Join us to celebrate German History September 15th from 6-10pm, and 16th from 1-10pm. Participants can try local and national beers, food, music, entertainment, and shopping at this event welcome for all ages.

Lastly, this October everyone can come out to the free event known as Oktoberfest. This will be held October 15th from 6-10pm, and October 16th from 1-10pm. There will be activities for both the kids and adults. Enjoy music, entertainment, and explore the local vendors.

Boyertown has it all with the Fall Frolic for the whole family, don’t miss out on your favorite vendors, or don’t miss out on friday football games to show your Boyertown pride.
