With the last days of winter finally behind us, Boyertown Area Senior High School (BASH) is gearing up for its final part of the school year. Here’s everything students in all four grade levels need to know.
Firstly, the fourth quarter is rapidly approaching, and the third quarter ends on Thursday, March 26th. That means if students have anything left to turn in, now’s their last chance.
Freshmen should have completed their presentations on the 20th of March for their third quarter career portfolio assignment, in addition to their Smart Futures and Simple Slides from first and second quarter.
Freshmen also have an upcoming event, the annual Freshman Fun Day on the 31st of March, a day in which freshmen can participate in multiple fun activities devised by the school administration. This day is also an early dismissal day; follow the schedule of (HR, Periods 1, 2, 8, and 9).
Sophomores should have completed all their SmartFutures activities and should be finished or almost finished with their ten hours of community service. If a student has yet to start their community service, they should reach out to their counselor for any help they may need.
Juniors should have already completed or have their job shadow planned. If this isn’t completed and turned in by Friday, the 22nd of May.
If a student hasn’t done any of their homeroom requirements, they should make sure to do them as soon as possible. Of course, any students who need help in finding a job shadow or community service project can reach out to their school counselor for any help they may need.
Seniors who are graduating should have already ordered their cap and gown for graduation, and should be making sure to clear all of their obligations if they wish to attend prom.
Graduation this year takes place at the Santander Arena in Reading. Students receive 8 [CORRECTED 4/21/2026] tickets, so siblings and grandparents are encouraged to come if they’re able to.
Lastly, Spring break is coming up, taking place from the 1st of April to Monday the sixth.
