Live Day: Welcome to the Jungle will air on BASH-TV News on December 23rd, 2025, the half day right before winter break. Live Day is the annual program the TV News play all day where students who are talented perform musical acts, along with there also being game shows hosted by students.
Live Day has been a tradition at BASH for many years now. Every year since its installment, the event has had many different themes and attractions. Students in all grades have the ability to sign up and perform their favorite songs, whether it’s singing or playing an instrument. The event also has a variety of game shows featuring teachers, and live skits.
Logan Dice, a Junior here at BASH, will be performing for the second time in Live Day with his band, and he said he joined Live Day because, “I just love playing music for people, and I love playing with a band.”
Also in the week leading up to Live Day, students will have the chance to buy tickets during their lunch period for the Live Day Basket Raffles. Six baskets containing different prizes will be given out to a random hand-picked winner during the event. Students can buy one ticket for one dollar and seven tickets for five dollars.
Mr. Cherkasky, the Telecommunications teacher and creator of Live Day, says he “is looking for talented people that can perform and sing well,” so anyone who wants to sign up for Live Day should see

Mr. C during homeroom by the 16th of December.
If you don’t want to join Live Day, there is also the Volleyball tournament that will be taking place the same day. All day, teams of 5-7 will be in a bracket, with the winner receiving a prize. Teams will be provided with a water bottle and soft pretzel, and will be in the auditorium if not playing watching Live Day. One team will also be granted a prize for having the best outfit, and that will be voted upon by all of the participants.
December 23rd is going to be a very busy day in BASH, with two awesome events right before the winter break. Whether you’re participating in Live Day or the Volleyball Tournament, make sure to have fun and sing/play your heart out!
