Punxsutawney Phil being held up on Groundhog’s Day

The Groundhog has made it through another year, and everyone has been anxiously waiting for Punxsutawney Phil to determine how early Spring will come. This has been a tradition for 137 years now, and every year crowds gather around Gobbler’s Knob for the big event. Phil emerged before 7:30 a.m. and did not see his shadow, meaning that an earlier Spring is likely, which is unusual since he almost always saw his shadow in previous years. Hopefully he is right and the cold Winter season will soon be over!
