The BASH Big Band is a jazz ensemble consisting of 21 members. It is conducted by Mr. Campopiano, the BASH band director. The ensemble has multiple events coming up this jazz season.
On March 1st, is the chicken dinner at Boyertown Middle School West. This is a BASH Music League fundraiser. The BASH MU, unfortunately, could not do their annual Arlen Saylor cavalcade, which raises a lot of money, so they ask that people come to the chicken dinner fundraiser and buy chicken so the music league can go to their trip to France and the small ensembles tour in Williamsburg.
On March 21st, the Quakertown Jazz Festival will be held at Quakertown High School at 7:00 P.M., the BASH Big Band performance will be at 8:00 P.M., and soloist recognition is at 9:00 P.M.
On April 4th is the Muhlenberg Jazz Festival, which will be held at Muhlenberg High School.
As of writing this article, there is limited information on the Muhlenberg jazz festival.
From April 25th to April 28th will be the small ensembles tour, which includes ensembles from the chamber orchestra and choir. The BASH Big Band will also be performing. This tour will be in Williamsburg, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Their final event will be held on April 30th, at the BASH Bands Spring Concert. At the spring concert, there will be multiple bands playing, including the BASH Big Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Percussion methods.
