Schumaker Qualifies for Cross Country States

Boyertown cross country ended its season with the District 1 race at Lehigh University on Friday, October 25.

Junior Emily Schumaker qualified to compete at States at Hershey for the second year in a row on Saturday, November 2, with a 5k time of 19:11. Schumaker placed 44 out of 341 runners. Boyertown’s girls placed 22nd as a team out of 49 schools competing in the varsity race.

Boyertown’s boys ended the race in 29th place out of 54 schools. No runners will go to States on the boys’ side. Dylan Eddinger was the top runner for Boyertown, running a time of 16:40.

Both teams placed 3rd at the PAC 10 races on Thursday, October 17.
