Main Office to Move This Week

Main+Office+to+Move+This+Week

The closing of the banana hallway and moving of the main office will move Wednesday, according to an email sent out by BASH Principal Dr. Brett Cooper on Friday.

The office was supposed to move on  Monday, Feb. 13, but it was delayed until this week.

Specific changes that will happen along with the office move, according to Principal Dr. Brett Cooper, are:

  • Access to BASH via the current Administrative entrance will no longer be available.

  • The new Main Administrative Entrance in the center of the west side (bus loop) of the building will be the access point into the building for AM bus drop off, visitor access throughout the school day, etc.

  • AM BCTC pick-up will remain the AUD lobby.  PM BCTC pick-up will now be at the new Main Administrative Entrance.

  • A temporary covered walkway will exist between the Annex (exit from between room #100 & the current (temporary) School Counseling Office and the current Life Skills Classroom (Rm. #414) entrance.  This will serve to replace the existing “banana hallway” transition between the annex and the newer section of the building.

  • The small boardwalk between the cafeteria and the new ISS room, as well as the boardwalk between the library and VPFA lobby area (between ceramics, orchestra, & choral rooms) will no longer be accessible.  Access to the 500s hallway (new administrative offices) will be via exiting the cafeteria side egress/entrance on the 500s hallway side of the building.  This too, will connect to the new stair tower outside of the VPFA lobby area.

Additionally, access to the first floor from the second floor of the annex will NOT be available via the glass stair tower. The other three stair towers located in the annex will access all three floors.
