Field Hockey Falls to Lynx
The BASH field hockey team had a difficult match-up on Wednesday against undefeated Oley Valley, losing 6-0 to the Lynx on Oley Valley’s senior night.
The Lady Bears didn’t have any shots on goal and played defense the majority of the match.
“We need to get better passing the ball up,” Coach Kooker said, “We can’t just assume someone is going to be there launching the ball downfield.”
The defense struggled mightily against the fiery Oley offense. However, the one bright spot for the Lady Bears was Goalie Kaitlyn Berger, who notched 24 saves to Oley’s 30 shots.
“It’s half-way through the season and we are on target, we wanted to beat Owen J. and we did, and now we are looking at another undefeated team on Friday at home,” Kooker said.
The Lady Bears look to play hard and fast against an undefeated Upper Perkiomen team, a program that is much improved from last season.
