Mrs. Tara Phillips has traveled her way to BASH as a new Family Consumer Science (FCS) teacher. She got into teaching because of her love for children and watching them succeed, but she didn’t always want to be an FCS teacher. She originally wanted to be an elementary school teacher, but then later she switched to FCS because of her love of the classes when she was in middle school and high school.

After graduating from Gwynedd-Mercy College, Mrs. Phillips taught for four years prior to BASH. She has taught in the School Districts of Philadelphia, Allentown, and North Penn. As a special education assistant, she also worked in Souderton Area School District, Hatboro-Horsham School District and North Penn School District.

Outside of teaching Mrs. Phillips likes to spend time with family and friends along with going to her camper and relaxing by the fire. Mrs. Phillips is excited for the school year to build relationships with her students and colleagues, along with watching her students grow and excel in her class.
