The 10th annual Unity walk is Saturday, October 12th, beginning at Boyertown Junior High West at 2 p.m.

The BASH Diversity/No Place for Hate committee organizes the walk. Member Andie Heydt said it is a time when people “join together to celebrate diversity and the inclusion of all people.”

A banner is carried in front of the parade of people, showing others what they are walking for.

Ever since racially motivated events occurred about 10 years ago, the Unity Walk has been a visible illustration helping to repair Boyertown’s tarnished reputation, Heydt said.

The walk is free of charge.

“It’s an experience you’ll never forget,” Heydt said.
