In 2025 there are many events happening. Over the course of the year there will be a new president, a lunar eclipse, and new TV shows.
To start the year off, Donald Trump will be put into office after he won in a landslide in the election. The inauguration will take place at the Capitol and will be sworn-in on January 20th, 2025. He will be the 60th president of the United States.
Also in January, on the 15th SpaceX will be sending two private lunar landers to the moon named Blue Ghost and Resilience. The mission focus is to research the lunar surface using instruments carried by the landers.
The Super Bowl is happening on February 9th, 2025, as of writing this, the teams who are playing have not been determined. Kendrick Lamar will be performing a thirteen song set and playing hits like, Not Like Us (explicit) and Money Trees (explicit).
On March 13-14, there will be a total lunar eclipse. This happens when the Sun, Earth, and Moon align in a way so that the Moon passes into Earth’s shadow. A total lunar eclipse can only happen when there is a full moon. The next total lunar eclipse will be on March 3rd, 2026 and is visible from East Asia, Australia, the Pacific, and the Americas.
The second movie of the Wicked series, named Wicked For Good, is releasing in theaters on November, 21st, 2025. Wicked For Good follows Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West and her relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida is opening a new area of their park that has been under construction for 6 years, named Epic Universe. Epic Universe will have a How to Train your Dragon themed roller-coaster, a Donkey Kong roller-coaster, and a third roller-coaster themed after Universal’s classic monsters.
