As the school year comes to a close, and graduation approaches, seniors are realizing their time here at BASH is coming to an end. One of these students is Chase Ebersole.

I met Chase when I was a freshmen through Ice Hockey. Since then, we have grown closer and have become good friends. As I got to know him, I noticed why he is such a noteworthy senior at Boyertown.

In the chaos of the locker room, Chase brought a calming and fun presence whenever he spoke. He made the hard practices and tough moments throughout the season much easier and more enjoyable with his positive attitude.

In addition to playing for Boyertown, he also played club hockey for the Lehigh Valley Junior Phantoms, where he played the past two seasons.

Outside of hockey, Chase participates in the school’s FBLA program, where he has visited conferences and competitions with the club. He has been involved in FBLA for 3 years.

When I asked him what he would miss most about Boyertown, he responded with a fitting answer, “The hockey games. It was so much fun playing in front of my friends and being able to be supported by the school.”

Chase, who played hockey for Boyertown most of his school years, has always been very committed to the club. In his senior year, he would skip practices for his club team to attend practice for Boyertown.

“This year was definitely a lot of fun,” Chase said when asked about which season he enjoyed the most. “We won almost all of our games and although we didn’t win any trophies, it was still a ton of fun.”

Although winning is the ultimate goal, Chase always focused on the important things, like building bonds with teammates and making memories. He did his very best to live in the moment and embrace the journey.

When speaking about his most difficult transition after high school, he said, “It’s going to be hard moving on from high school. You get to see your friends every day and that all kind of changes fast. I truly enjoyed seeing my friends and going through my school career with them.”

All of these qualities and extracurriculars show why Chase is such a great student, teammate, and friend. Thank you for your time and effort, Chase. There is no doubt that you will succeed in life.
