Half days throughout the year give students the chance to explore the area around Boyertown, but the main thing on students’ minds on half days, however, is food. Luckily Boyertown is in no short supply of places for students and their peers to settle down and eat. The Grill Shop on East Philadelphia Ave is the most common place students choose to go, but other places include Argento’s Pizza, Toss of The Town salad bar, the newly reopened Carmelo’s Pizza and Italian Ice, and The Peppermint Stick Candy Store which has a wide selection of sweets.
Food isn’t the only thing that Boyertown offers in spades. Throughout the town there are many different spots that allow people to express their interests or pick up a new one altogether. Deal Me In Games, a game/hobby shop, offers one of the widest ranges of games in the local area. From classic board games, Dungeons and Dragons, or trading card games, there’s always something to do at the store.
Music is a universal love for a lot of people, and hundreds want to learn about it for themselves. There are many different music stores throughout Boyertown and the surrounding areas, but the closest stores are Funky Frets, or The Crossroads Guitar and Art store which opened up its doors late last year. The Crossroads Guitar and Art store also offers people a space to not only play an instrument, but take one on one lessons to learn an instrument.
For those who are interested in local history: Boyertown is home to a plethora of museums, including the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles, or the Carl Spaatz Museum. Another interesting place to visit is the Colebrookdale Railroad, where students can have a look at the train itself or plan to spend a day there during one of the many rides they offer.
For any and all students throughout Boyertown there are plenty of opportunities for them to experience what Boyertown has to offer. Whether or not students are looking for a bite to eat, or a new hobby to pick up, there is always something to do.
