**ENDGAME SPOILERS** (But honestly, who doesn’t know how it ends?)

It has been almost two years since Marvel has released Avengers: Endgame, and fans are still upset about the ending. Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, sacrificed himself near the end of the movie in order to stop Thanos – and died. Some fans desperately want to bring their favorite hero back to life… and made that point clear by displaying it on a billboard in Los Angeles, California.

The identities of the person(s) who bought this billboard remain unknown, although you can definitely see what they wanted. The billboard reads “For our beloved hero, please bring back Tony Stark #BringBackTonyStarkToLife.”

A picture of the billboard was first posted on Twitter by Lights, Camera, Pod, and according to The Times of India, there are “fans debating on whether or not the beloved character should make his return to the big screen.”

Some are calling it “nonsense” and “a fandom gone wild.” According to The Mary Sue, Robert Downey Jr. has already spent about 13 years playing Tony Stark in 9 different movies… so we can assume that he probably wants to play a different character. Plus, Iron Man got a very heroic ending – he saved the entire universe from destruction! It was a perfect (yet saddening) end for this genius billionaire playboy philanthropist. However, many fans are depressed to see their favorite hero perish. But, if Marvel continues to resurrect people, the audiences won’t be invested and entertained in the coming movies.

On the other hand, others want Tony to be able to have a happy ending with his family and friends. His attitude, humor, and dedication make him one of the most lovable characters in the MCU. Already, people are looking at possible ways that Tony could return. One example of this, from SCREENRANT, is based on the fact that Tony could come back as A.I. This whole “Tony as A.I.” thing isn’t new – in the Marvel comics, Tony created an A.I. version of himself in case his body no longer worked.

Some also say that Robert Downey Jr. might return as Iron Man in Disney+ TV shows like “Ironheart” or “Armor Wars”, which are planned to come out in the future.

However, a rumor is just a rumor, and so Tony Stark fans will have to wait a little longer to find out what will happen to this beloved character. We love you 3000, Iron Man.
