During the holiday season many people enjoy listening to Christmas music, baking cookies, and watching holiday themed movies. There are hundreds of Christmas movies, all ranging from lots of different genres such as comedy, romantic stories, to even horror movies.
When we conducted a survey sent out to all students here at BASH we received a variety of responses. The survey consisted of three simple questions, the first being “What Christmas movie is your favorite?” Over 100 students responded to the survey. Here were the ten options that students could choose from. These were the most well known holiday themed movies:
- Polar Express
- Elf
- Home Alone
- A Christmas Story
- The Grinch
- Bad Santa
- A Christmas Carol
- Santa Clause 3
- The Nightmare before Christmas
- National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
The most popular Christmas movie out of the suggested 10 was the classic Christmas comedy, Elf, at 34.3%
The second most popular movie was the Polar Express with 21.6%.
The least popular movie was Bad Santa with 1%.
The second question we asked was if there were any other movies that were not listed above that the students enjoyed to watch.
35.3% of students responded yes, there were movies that were not listed that they liked.
Some popular movies that students enjoyed that were not listed was the new horror movie Krampus, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
Some students responded to this question with movies that were listed in the first question and one student’s response was
