Mr. Boyertown is Fun for a Good Cause

Jacob Dooley was named the 2014 Mr. Boyertown based on his performance at the pageant on March 12th.

The Mr. Boyertown Pageant is a new contest that was created by Student Council to raise money for charity.

Eighteen male students were nominated and each had to raise money to enter the pageant. The ten students who raised the most money moved on to the pageant. However, all of the other nominees will have an opportunity to participate in the pageant.

In preparation for the competition, each contestant had to practice for three pageant events; a personal interview, a special talent, and school spirit clothing. Each contestant also took part in a Mr. Boyertown Dance routine at the opening of the pageant.

The ten finalists are:

-Chas Vitabile

-Dylan Eddinger

-Bret Takacs

-Daniel Nickerle

-Tim Lawlor

-A.J. Sermarini

-Zach Sermarini

-Matthew Bowen

-Jacob Dooley

-Sean Gallagher

-Dave McLarnon

So far, more than $36,000 has been raised and will go to the Four Diamonds Foundation.
