On Friday, September 19th, the BASH football team went up against Methacton and won 30-14. The game went extremely well and gave the fans in attendance a great experience.
Friday was Gold out for Boyertown, where everyone that could wear gold wore gold. Gold out raises awareness for child cancer and supports funds for treatment. For anyone that wants to support the cause, you can go to Childcancerfund.org at any time.
The game was underway, and the crowd starting piling in. Methacton on their opening drive scored a touchdown to go up 7-0. The very next drive, Boyertown answered right back with a score of their own, with Tilman Henley rushing for a one yard touchd

own. The game was tied 7-7, and it remained like this all the way to halftime.
The third quarter started, and the game was starting off pretty slow. It stayed this way until Tilman Henley returned a punt for 60 yards and scored a touchdown to put The Bears on top 14-7. This was the turning point in the game as Boyertown started taking over. Henley ran for another two touchdowns, and Boyertown took the lead 28-7. It was a full-on blowout!
Boyertown even managed to get a saftey, caused by Logan Oakes. Methacton did end up scoring another touchdown, but it was too late in the game. Boyertown had won the game 30-14! Tilman Henley was definitely the MVP of the game, as he ran for 200 yards on 16 carries, and had four total touchdowns in the game.
This was a great showing for the Bears, and a great way to celebrate Gold Out! The Bears have a date with Perkiomen Valley this Friday, September 26th.
