Tis a Sin

Tis a sin to Kill a Mockingbird, His song so sweet

Tis a sin to let addiction win, leading to your defeat

Tis a sin to show the person, hiding in the shadows

Tis a sin to harm the disabled, running for the meadows

Tis a sin to not help someone, who’s in need

Tis a sin to hurt harmless bushes, the consequence to read

Tis a sin to harm children, with no offensive feat

Tis a sin to tell a lie, to make end’s meet

Tis a sin to convict the innocent, for means of race

Tis a sin to ridicule the innocent, for the color of her face

Tis a sin to make friends leave, after they ran away

Tis a sin to turn away another, from a different race

Tis a sin to anger at the outcome, out of one’s control

Tis a sin to harm the people, each with a living soul

Tis a sin to wish harm to another, who may be gone

Tis a sin to kill the mockingbird, who has done no wrong
