Teddy bear collection to honor Berks County children
BASH is joining Greenwich-Lenhartsville Elementary School in their teddy bear collection following the tragic murder of Berks County children Conner and Brinley Snyder.
Teddy bears are being collected in the security office by Officer Yeager.
“In my profession, sadly this is one of those horrific cases every police officer never wants to get the call for and will always weigh heavily on us,” Officer Yeager said.
She urges any student who can to donate at least one bear.
“I would like to show our support and respect to these children coming all the way from Boyertown and help fulfill their teddy bear collection drive,” she said.
With part of Boyertown sharing Berks County, the incident is close to home and exceedingly sad to students here.
Teddy bears collected will be donated to Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, SafeBerks, local fire companies, and other agencies. Officer Yeager will be collecting teddy bears until Friday, when she will personally drop them off at the elementary school.
