PA Schools Closed for the Year
Governor Wolf’s secretary of education signed an order Thursday, March 4th, to close all PA public and private schools K-12 for the rest of the academic school year.
He strongly encourages schools to keep up online schooling and continue the education for students so they don’t miss out on too much of the curriculum for this year.
“This was not an easy decision, but closing schools until the end of the academic year is in the best interest of our students, school employees and families.” stated Wolf in his closure announcement.
On Wednesday, April 8th, it was also announced that Governor Tom Wolf supports PIAA shut down of all winter sports championships, and spring sports will not be continuing in high school seasons.
Hopefully things will return back to normal in the fall for the start of next school year, but for now, everyone is encouraged to stay home and safe.
