Budget Proposal
As of February 4th, Governor Shapiro has introduced many increases to educational funding. Although all these funds are speculative and subject to change following negotiations several estimates for the district’s funding were given in a presentation shown by Ms. Denicola. The district is slated to receive an increase of $155,411 in basic education funding. The district will also receive an increase of $122,865 in special education funding. An increase of $1,450,154 in Ready to Learn funding will also be gained. However the Cyber Charter Reimbursement of $425,833 will be lost. Overall the district will receive an increase of $1,302,607 in funding.
BCIU Mandated Service Budget
The Berks County Intermediate Unit, an organization that provides services and programs to Berks County schools that may not be practical for the district to provide themselves, Board of Directors approved the 2025-2026 County Service Budget of $2,191,504. The Boyertown Area School District will contribute $108,153.28, an increase of 3.84% from last year. These funds support service programs for several schools across the county including those for curriculum development and instructional improvement.
