Boyertown Area School District is hosting many summer camps for BASH Students, grades 9-12, during the summer. These camps include NJROTC Basic Leadership Training, NJROTC Advanced Leadership Training, Running of the Cubs 2, and Financial Literacy/Investing camp.
NJROTC Basic Leadership Training:
This camp is led by Commander Kruppa and Gunnery Sergeant Bolton. The camp will run from July 21st to July 24th at BASH. The summer camp will cost $105 per participant.
The Basic Leadership Training offers an opportunity to familiarize new prospective enrollees with the award-winning, BASH Navy JROTC program, basic military bearing, etiquette, and drill. Cadets engage in enjoyable and safe team-building activities. Camp participants will receive military publications, uniform items, and lunch during the camp at no additional cost.
NJROTC Advanced Leadership Training
This camp is led by Commander Kruppa and Gunnery Sergeant Bolton. The camp will run from July 16th to July 17th at BASH. The summer camp will cost $45 per participant.
The Advanced Leadership Training offers an opportunity for selected NJROTC Cadets with previously-approved positions to develop leadership teaching basic military drill, provide basic physical fitness training, provide practical application of leading team-building activities and developing Operational Risk Management, and engage cadets in enjoyable and safe team-building activities. Participants will receive military publications, uniform items, and lunch during the camp at no additional cost.
Running of the Cubs 2
Led by Mrs. Bergeyova, thisĀ camp will run from June 9th to June 12th at BASH. The summer camp will cost $95 per participant.
This camp will focus on using cardiovascular endurance and speed by incorporating a variety of runs into workouts. The students will learn how to set a running goal and design a short-term running program.
Financial Literacy/Investing Camp
This camp is led by Taylor Howard. The camp will run from June 16th to June 19th at BMSE. The summer camp will cost $90 per participant.
The participants will learn about various financial topics such as budgeting, credit scores, insurance, and more. Students will learn about stocks, mutual funds, and the power of compound interest. We will also study the teachings of Dave Ramsey, Suze Orman, and Robert Kiyosaki. The goal is to help students understand financial terms and topics while introducing saving and investment habits that foster emergency funds, cash flow, and compound interest into their lives.
