Senior Presentation
As with the two previous meetings a student presented their Senior Presentation to the School Board. The student to present this meeting was Michael Gearhart. Gearhart is a member of the JROTC, who were there to present the American Flag for that night’s Pledge of Allegiance in honor of Veterans Day.
Sports News
Several sports accomplishments were highlighted including the field hockey team being the 2024 PACS Champions, and Senior Chase Dilman competing in the golf PIAA tournament. A presentation and proposal for Unified Track and Field, a program focused on promoting the cooperation of students with learning disabilities such as autism and those without, was given to the School Board. PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association) has sanctioned girls flag football as a sport schools can hold teams for, with Boyertown already having 57 girls showing interest throughout the district.
Budget
The Boyertown Elementary School’s PTO fund-raised in order to provide upkeep and improvements to the schools playground. The board unanimously approved the project to proceed. The Solar for Schools program would provide $300000 in funding to start using solar panels and has become a consideration for the board in the future. Renewable energy has become a much more prominent topic of discussion in recent years as concerns over the harmful effects of fossil fuels have risen. The treasurer gave a report on the amount of money the district collected through taxes. All the suggested Program of Studies changes from the November 12th Committee of the Whole Meeting were approved by the board.
Miscellaneous Topics
A recap was given on unveiling of the veterans memorial on that same night. Director Brophy continued his protest of the issues with minutes brought up in the September 10th Committee of the Whole meeting by abstaining from the vote on approving the previous meetings Minutes.

Board Reorganization
The Board met on December 3rd to select the new board President and Vice-President. Board President Panarello won reelection as the board’s President over the other nominated directors: Director Brophy and Director Roger Updegrove. Board Vice President Zawada also won reelection against the other nominated directors: Director Neiman and Director Roger Updegrove.
