Everything You Need to know About This Years’ Prom
Get excited- prom is here! And it is quickly approaching. Only one week away from one of the most talked about events of the year. As students get prepared for the big night there are many questions students have, so here is all you need to know to be prepared for the Enchanted Evening.
On Friday, May 5, seniors MUST attend school to be able to attend prom later that night. At 6 pm seniors and their dates will arrive at SunnyBrook Ballroom in Pottstown for a night filled with dancing and some good food. There will be a promenade starting at 5:45 for couples to walk across that. BASH TV plans to stream live during the event on the BearVision Youtube Channel, which it also posted at a later date. It will also air on our BearVision Cable Channel on Comcast 969. If you wish to participate you must arrive from 5:15-5:45.
Once inside the ballroom, you must check in with your student ID. If your date does not attend BASH they must bring their government-issued ID or school ID to check in. So remember your student ID! There will be no physical tickets, instead, they are registered online, therefore only students who purchased tickets ahead of time (during table sign-ups) will be allowed to attend the dance.
Purses, cameras, etc. are permitted, once you enter the building you are not able to go back into the parking lot until the end unless you have a note. However, alcohol, vaping, and smoking is not permitted, students suspected to be under the influence will have their parents called and will be turned over to the local police, so make sure to behave and follow the rules.
Table numbers are posted on a Google Sheet for students to view in case they forgot which table they are assigned.
This year’s post prom activities will look a little different since they won’t occur POST prom, they will occur DURING prom! All the prizes will be raffled at the actual prom in the Jazz Room at SunnyBrook 7:30-11 pm. There will be prizes and a lot of fun activities!
Any questions? Contact Mrs. Benning at [email protected]. It is important that all students are on top of everything that is needed and keep an eye out for any updates. But most importantly we hope you have a fun night at this year’s prom!
