On Friday, November 15, there will be a boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson at the AT&T Stadium. The entire event will be streamed on Netflix, however, prelims can be viewed on YouTube. The fight was originally going to be held on the 20th of July. Unfortunately, due to a stomach ulcer in Tyson, the fight had to be rescheduled
Jake Paul has mentioned money as one of the main motivators for his participation in the fight, “I’m here to make $40m and knock out a legend.”
Jake Paul is a YouTuber turned boxer who made vlogs dating back to as early as 2014. He also makes music with a discography of 17 singles. One of his singles, named “It’s Everyday Bro,” has over 74 million streams on the music streaming app Spotify and 301 million views on YouTube.
Mike Tyson was a professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 2005 in the heavyweight class. He was the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles. He is also featured in a popular video game released in 1987 on the Nintendo Entertainment System named “Punch-Out!!” According to ESPN after his retirement he had a record of 50 wins and 6 losses.
