The hallways at Boyertown Senior High are getting repainted to be more colorful.
This painting project is being done by members of FBLA and AP art students. Their first day of painting occurred on September 18, but they still have some way to go and need more paint to achieve their final vision. This group wants to “reimagine the hallways at BASH” and decorate each hall with a different color. They will be working hard outside of school twice a month to paint all of the hallways.
One of the hopes for the new coloring of the halls is that freshmen will be able to locate their classes easier. With the different colors in different halls, they would be able to locate their classroom based on finding the color rather than the number of the hallways, which could help them better understand the layout of the building.
The only problem is, the project requires more paint than what the group has. One way that they have found to fundraise for more painting supplies is to host a surprise jeans day for the teachers on Wednesday, September 20. Jeans days usually gather around $100, which would be a good amount to get more paint for this large project. All teachers are allowed to pay a small fee to wear jeans on this day to fundraise for the project.
With the funds from this surprise jeans day, the group will be able to buy more paint for their project of beautifying the high school. All teachers are welcome and encouraged to help with this mini fundraiser for the betterment of their school.
