A Self-Care Day Just for You
Relax, Breathe in & out, take a calming bubble bath, why don’t you sleep in today, paint your nails, put on a face mask, and/or listen to music, this day is for you.
A Self-care day
A self care day is a day where you take care of yourself and do what you love within your home or the spa or at a park. Having a day for yourself doesn’t make you selfish at all, you shouldn’t have any shame whatsoever about how you want to spend your alone time. Self-care is a way you can focus on yourself and maintain a healthy relationship with yourself . Some examples are:
- Reading a book
- Drink some tea
- Take a bubble bath
- Get so sleep
- Go for a walk
- Do yoga
- Watch Netflix
How to Start
You can always start with finishing some of your work, tidy up a bit and if that’s not your speed you can always meditate with some calm sounds playing in the background or take a nice bubble bath. Do the thing you like the most and put it into a routine. It can be anything just put your mind to it.
Focus on some deeper issues
Mental health is a big aspect to the whole self care day. Take this as time to look at yourself and confront the difficult feelings you had for a long time and if you cry that’s ok let it out it’s better to let it out then in. This is the time to release your stress, lower your risk of illness, and increase your energy even the smallest things leave an impact. This is the best way you can keep yourself in check.
Why is it important?
“Engaging in a self-care routine has been clinically proven to reduce or eliminate anxiety and depression, reduce stress, improve concentration, minimize frustration and anger, increase happiness, improve energy, and more.”
Self care is the only thing keeping you from going insane. So take this day off and relax this day is for you and don’t forget it.
