The Bears began the 2017-18 wrestling season getting 3rd at the 14th Annual Brian Bealer Memorial Bear Duals at BASH.

The team started off well with first year head coach David Jones by winning their first dual of the day and season 74-3 over Interboro. They followed that up with a 66-12 victory over Unionville heading into a big early season matchup with District 1 powerhouse, Council Rock North, in Round 3. The Bears lost 37-33. They rebounded with a 42-38 win over District 3’s Governor Mifflin. The Bears finished the day with third place after defeating PAC rival Owen J. Roberts. Junior Jacob Miller gave the win for the Bears with a 12-1 major decision.

Three Bears were a perfect 5-0, as seniors Elijah Jones and Zak Reck and sophomore Chase Stehmen led the way.
