BASH Drama Club announces the fall play!

BASH Drama Club is proud to announce the fall play, The Mysterious Affair of

"The Birds That Stay" cast celebrating their hard earned cheers.

 Styles. The play will have 12 roles, and all roles will have lines. 

Auditions will be held in room 302 on September 25th, 2025, and audition packets will be available in room 302 on September 15th, 2025.

The show nights will be Friday November 21st and Saturday November 22nd at 7PM, and Sunday November 23rd at 2PM. The play will be held in the FAUD, and tickets will be sold at the door for $10.

Unlike last year’s spring play, The Birds That Stay, there are no content warnings and it will be a much lighter production.

The play is based off of a British murder mystery novel of the same name by Agatha Christie. It follows Hercule Poirot, a Belgian detective, as he investigates the death of Mrs. Emily Inglethorp, the elderly lady of Styles Manor.

The cast of characters is as follows:

Evie Howard: Emily Inglethorp’s paid companion and Jack-of-all-trades
Mary Cavendish: John Cavendish’s wife, and Emily Inglethorp’s stepdaughter-in-law
John Cavendish: Mary Cavendish’s husband and Emily Inglethorp’s stepson
Hastings: Wounded WW1 soldier on leave after being wounded in the leg; an old friend of John Cavendish’s
Dorcas: The maid of Styles Manor and Emily Inglethorp’s personal servant
Cynthia Murdoch: A nurse at the nearby Red Cross Hospital
Lawrence Cavendish: John Cavendish’s younger sibling, Emily Inglethorp’s other stepchild
Emily Inglethorp: The elderly Lady of Styles Manor, new wife of Alfred Inglethorp, stepmother to John and Lawrence
Alfred Inglethorp: Emily Inglethorp’s much-younger new husband, Lord of Styles Manor
Dr. Bauerstein: A medical specialist from London
Hercule Poirot: The legendary Belgian detective, now a refugee in England to escape WW1, an old friend of Hastings’
Detective Inspector Japp: A Detective of Scotland Yard, summoned to investigate the murder of Emily Inglethorp
