Despite Snow Delay, Senior Disney Trip a Success

Disney didn’t start off too magical for the class of 2017.

Winter Storm Stella decided to pay Boyertown a visit on Tuesday, March 14th, the day before the annual senior trip to Orlando was supposed to take way. Some areas got up to 5 feet of snow. The Boyertown area got only about a foot, but that was enough to delay the trip for a day and a half.

Seniors all over the school began to panic, fearing that their class trip wouldn’t work out.

“I was really worried that the whole trip was going to be ruined, and that everyone’s money would be wasted. I was looking forward to it for so long, and was expecting the worst,” Senior Heather Reigner said.

But Senior Class Advisor Mrs. Jennifer Benning worked with the travel agency, and the class trip did take off — two days late. They also arranged for students to stay a day longer than originally planned.

“Nor’easter Stella could not stop the Class of 2017!”Mrs. Benning said. “There were definitely moments when we thought the trip would not be happening.  Luckily, with the help from World Class Vacations, the trip was a huge success.”

Most students seemed to agree that despite the delays and last second rearrangements, the trip was a lot of fun.

“I had a great time! My roommates were awesome, and I got to do everything I wanted to do, regardless of the delays and rearranged schedules,” Senior Emily Green said.
