BASH Students Stand Up Against Cancer at Mini-THON
BASH students participated in this year’s MINI-THON, which raised $40,272.26.
The theme of the event was Harry Potter with the motto: “The cure is only a spell away”.
Students’ main goal throughout the night was to stand up against cancer and raise money for the Four Diamonds Fund, a charitable organization based out of Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. The organization’s ultimate objective is to conquer childhood cancer.
BASH students stood from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday. Activities going on throughout the night to keep students awake included:
– Quidditch, a sport that is played in the wizarding world of Harry Potter
-a Moon Bounce
-line dances every hour
The money raised by BASH puts its total at just over $223K for the seven years BASH has held Mini-THONs.
